Osmia 4.0 - innowacyjny system do hodowli pszczół

Wartość całkowita projektu:
1 209 331,56 zł
Wartość dofinansowania/Wkład Funduszy Europejskich:
893 564,68 zł

Cele i efekty projektu:

Celem głównym projektu jest rozwój i wprowadzenie na rynek systemu do hodowli pszczół samotnic oraz
kompatybilnych usług związanych z wprowadzeniem serwisu systemu po sezonie oraz wdrożeniu aplikacji
mobilnej wspomagającej klientów w zarządzaniu procesem zapylenia i prowadzeniem gospodarstw
sadowniczych.
Proces hodowli pszczół wspomagany przez elementy będące rezultatem projektu zostanie udoskonalony
ze względu na następujące korzyści:
- automatyzację procesu, a przez to oszczędność czasu,
- zwiększenie zapylenia, co wpłynie na zwiększenie plonów,
- poprawę jakości zapylenia,
- wydłużenie czasu przechowywania owoców,
- oszczędność pieniędzy (zastąpienie trzmiela murarką ogrodową).

Rezultatem projektu będą:
1. Ule wyposażone w plaster hodowlany dla pszczół samotnic.
2. Aplikacja mobilna wspierająca proces.
3. Urządzenie do serwisu systemów.

About us

Let us invite you to our world. A world of sustainable development where bees work tirelessly during spring to pollinate crops in every corner of the globe.

I remember when we were still young children, when we entered our parents' orchards during the flowering period, we could hear the loud buzzing of thousands of bees. It was an amazing sight. Year by year the sound of the working bees was getting quieter. Growing up, we witnessed a declining pollinator population. Our parents instilled in us a love for the land, educated us and taught us to work hard. After graduating from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, we started our own adventures with fruit growing. Armed with the right knowledge and enthusiasm, we started new plantings. We run separate farms but we support each other.

There are several aspects to the final success in orchard production, which directly depend on the grower. It is optimal fertilization, irrigation, protection and pollination. The last point often overlooked by fruit growers is just as important as the rest. The size and quality of the obtained crop depends on the work of the bees. Few years ago, we heard from a beekeeper who knew about a solitary bee – Red Orchard Bee. A bee that lives alone, does not produce honey, but is an unmatched pollinator. And so, our adventure with this amazing bee began. From year to year, the bee colony has grown in size due to the fact that preparing the bees for the next season has become very labor-intensive. We have started work on the optimal habitat. After several years of testing, the OsmiaBox was created. Knowing the fruit-growing profession, we realized very well that the automatic post-season service is necessary for the bees we love to develop safely in every orchard. Not every fruit grower needs to know about bee breeding in order to successfully breed them. New technologies come with help. The mobile application, which is the link between us and our clients, will guide without errors anyone who would like to increase the profitability of the farm thanks to optimal pollination by solitary bees.

My name is Przemysław Kapka and together with my brother Damian, I invite you to the Osmia 4.0 project.

OSMIA 4.0. Project

The Osmia 4.0 project consists of 3 departments which complement each other to form a complete product, i.e .:

honey

OsmiaBox solitary bee hive

An innovative solution made of modular elements. Thanks to its structure, it provides optimal temperature and humidity conditions for the development of a new generation of bees. A characteristic feature of our hive is the varied size of the hatching holes. This helps the bees to find the individual holes. It is possible to use a barrier that reflects excess sunlight and can be painted in any color.

Service

After the season, the hives with the new generation should be removed from the inside, selected, disinfected and packed in the boxes. The system should also be cleaned, disinfected, the membrane replaced and assembled for use in the next season. All these activities are carried out automatically thanks to a device specially designed for this purpose. Thanks to the automation of the most labor-intensive processes in the breeding of solitary bees, pollination becomes as simple as in the use of bumblebees, but much cheaper.

mobileapp

Mobile Application

An invaluable tool for dust planning. It will tell you exactly in what number and spacing to place the bees in a given quarters. It is extremely important that there is an appropriate number of bees that are necessary for proper pollination. The application, receiving data from the service device, will learn and adjust the number of bees according to individual needs and specific climatic conditions.
